I have regularly used the CHC since it opened many years ago. Receptionists are always welcoming and helpful. I have an aromatherapy massage on average every fortnight with Debbie Wright, who is absolutely brilliant. Debbie is very experienced and has successfully treated a variety of ailments for me, ensuring I can still play tennis twice a week. I have also had many successful treatments from Lindsay Mudford for joint problems. Lindsay is always welcoming, very experienced and I always leave with good advice and appropriate exercises.Posted on Google![]()

I’ve had a really good experience at the Complementary Health Centre. I went with shoulder pain and saw Kathi for four sessions, and I’m now completely pain-free. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and I felt very comfortable there. I was particularly impressed that the focus wasn’t just on treating the pain, but on understanding what was causing it and giving me exercises and techniques that I can continue using myself. Four sessions later, the pain has completely gone and I feel much more confident about keeping it that way. I’d definitely recommend the centre and would happily go back if I needed help with anything in the future.Posted on Google![]()

Kelly was thoroughly professional, thoughtful in her questions and made helpful suggestions for me to manage my painful arthritic knee. She also directed me to my local pharmacy to confirm her suspicion that a particular medication would not be appropraite for me. Pharmacist agreed.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Acupuncture has been practiced in eastern countries for 2,500 years. It is a traditional form of Chinese Medicine based on the theory that our body’s motivating force (Chi) moves through a network of channels that run beneath the skin, and that illness arises due to blockages in the energy flow. Acupuncturists insert fine needles into points along the channels in order to re-balance the body’s energy, with the aim to restore health and a feeling of wellbeing. Treatment may also include the use of Moxibustion or infrared heat lamps.
Nutritional Therapy uses food, supplements and lifestyle changes to promote optimum health and help people to achieve their health goals. It looks for the root cause of health problems, taking a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and supporting the body’s natural healing ability.
At the Complementary Health Centre here in Lewisham, we can offer you a wide variety of massages, both for rehabilitation and wellbeing.
Massage triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. It can be both relaxing or stimulating, depending on your needs. The techniques used, help release congestion and eliminate harmful toxins which in turn aids circulation. This brings rejuvenation of the cells resulting in healthy tissue.

Feldenkrais is a wonderful method to help you improve your range of movement, your posture and breathing. It was created by physicist, engineer and first Judo black belt in Europe Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984).
Reoccurring pains, stiffness and not feeling comfortable in your own body equate to limitation of movement and lack of freedom in the joints and muscles. Feldenkrais brings more freedom of movement and balances body and mind, so improving your feeling of wellbeing.
Feldenkrais takes a non-invasive approach and is easy to both understand and apply, regardless of your current restrictions
You can experience a Feldenkrais treatment at The Complementary Health Centre both in a class or individually. The classes are simply structured and students are given time to explore movements in their own pace to develop ease and freedom towards greater complexity. Students tell us the lessons are very calming and relaxing and have a very powerful effect on the body and mind even much later after the session.
If you’d like to find out more, go to the Feldenkrais website . Go to our Feldenkrais teachers’ page to find out more about their classes.
