Kelly — Chartered Physiotherapist
Kelly qualified from King’s College London with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy in 1999.
Since then she has worked in both NHS and private practices, developing her treatment skills across manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation.
This provides patients with a well-rounded approach to pain relief, recovery and injury prevention.
Kelly believes treatment works best as a collaboration between therapist and patient, helping each person work towards their individual goals — whether that means returning to work, getting back to sport, or simply keeping up with the kids.
Her clinical background includes treating a wide range of conditions:
- Neck, back and joint pain
- Sports injuries
- Rehabilitation after musculoskeletal surgery
- Management of degenerative conditions such as arthritis
Kelly also has a special interest in upper-limb restrictions following breast cancer treatment.
She has completed multiple specialist courses in this field, including a Breast Cancer Care Masters module at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
What Happens When I See a Physiotherapist?
At your first appointment, the physiotherapist will take a case history and perform a physical assessment.
You may be asked to remove some outer clothing and perform simple movements to help assess posture, mobility and areas of stiffness or pain.
After a thorough evaluation, the physiotherapist will explain the likely cause of your symptoms and begin your first treatment.
Long-standing problems may require a series of sessions over several weeks, while more recent issues can often be resolved within a few treatments.
Outside of Work
Kelly has a young family and understands the real-life time pressures people face when seeking treatment and looking after themselves.
She keeps fit with Pilates and is a keen dancer.
