Experience

I have over ten years of experience providing one-to-one counselling to adults, supporting a wide range of emotional and life challenges.

Therapeutic Approach

I am a person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My own experience of being deeply listened to and fully accepted was central to what drew me to counselling. I first came to therapy to understand myself more clearly, and that experience continues to inform how I work today. It also gives me confidence in the capacity for meaningful change and growth in others.

My Beliefs About Counselling

I believe counselling can help you work through what feels difficult, painful, or stuck, while also supporting personal growth and the recognition of your strengths.

Therapy can help you:

• Develop deeper self-understanding • Recognise repeating patterns • Strengthen your relationship with yourself • Clarify what you need and value

The emotional pressures of everyday life can affect sleep, energy, relationships, and overall wellbeing. My role is to support you in finding a way of living that feels more sustainable, balanced, and aligned with who you are.

How I Work With You

I work in a person-centred way, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and be heard.

We move at your pace. Together, we may explore:

• Feelings and emotional experiences • Relationships and relational patterns • Daily choices and behaviours • Past experiences that still feel unresolved

I work alongside you to gently make sense of what feels painful or confusing and to support you in making changes that feel necessary and meaningful. I believe people often hold more inner wisdom and resilience than they realise, and counselling can help you reconnect with those resources.

Areas I Support

• Anxiety and low mood • Stress and feeling overwhelmed • Self-esteem and confidence • Motivation and feeling “stuck” • Relationship difficulties • Grief and loss • Addiction and coping behaviours • Life transitions and change • Adult survivors of abuse

Your First Session

The first session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to counselling and what you would like from therapy. You are free to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

If the space feels like a good fit, we can agree to continue with ongoing sessions — usually weekly — and explore your concerns in greater depth.

Session Structure

Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are available in person or online via Zoom.

Many people find weekly sessions helpful, particularly at the beginning. However, we will agree a pace that feels realistic and supportive for you. We will also review progress together to ensure the work remains aligned with your needs.
