CHC Lee is partnering with @colfes_leisure to support a more integrated approach to movement, fitness, and health.

The focus is on understanding how stress, pain, and recovery affect performance and wellbeing — not just in treatment rooms, but in everyday training and life.

To support people getting started (or restarting) with movement this January, Colfe's Leisure Centre is currently offering no joining fee, free five-day passes, and free access to an exercise and nutrition seminar (31st January at 12pm), alongside flexible memberships with no long-term contracts.

Jo Llewellyn practises Five Element Acupuncture, and she’d like to give you a sense of what that really means in a session.

Five Element Acupuncture looks at the whole person — how your body feels, how your emotions move, and the deeper patterns that shape your day-to-day resilience.
It works through the five natural elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
Most people have one element that plays a bigger role in their wellbeing, and when it slips out of balance, it tends to show across both body and mood.

During a treatment, Jo pays close attention to the subtler details your system shows without effort — your pulse, the tone in your voice, the colour in your face, and the shifts in your energy.
These small clues help her understand which element needs support and how your system is compensating.

Her focus isn’t on quick symptom-patching.
It’s on helping your body and emotions settle into a steadier, more balanced rhythm — the kind that makes daily life feel less heavy and more manageable.

Jo also works with moxibustion — gently warming acupuncture points with moxa.
