About me

Is Counselling Right for You?

• Do you want to feel more confident, resilient, and free?
• Are you feeling anxious, stuck, lost, or overwhelmed?
• Do you have things you don’t feel able to share with friends or family?

I am a qualified, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)–registered integrative counsellor. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind.

How I Can Help

Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting. My aim is to make the experience as comfortable, supportive, and accessible as possible.

Counselling is a talking therapy. I support you by listening carefully and helping you identify patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. This process can open up new choices and help you move through life with greater clarity and agency.

I offer a containing presence where you can reflect on a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, low mood, and depression. Counselling can help you make meaningful connections between past and present experiences, allowing you to live more fully in the here and now.

The experience of being truly heard can be transformative, often enabling new perspectives and deeper self-understanding.

How I Work With You

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on the individual — because no two people are the same. My work is informed by psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, integrated through Petruska Clarkson’s model of counselling and psychotherapy.

I tailor how I work to suit what you find most helpful. Central to my approach is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important aspects of counselling. I will support you in exploring how you relate to me as your counsellor, which can offer valuable insight into how you relate to others in your life.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

My path into counselling grew from a deep curiosity about people and what shapes who we are. I originally trained as a journalist and have worked in the charity sector for many years.

I began my counselling training at the Minster Centre in North West London, went on to study person-centred counselling at City Lit, and completed a BACP-accredited professional diploma in integrative counselling at the Mary Ward Centre. I have also undertaken specialist training in bereavement and trauma-informed work.

I have worked as a counsellor within a bereavement service in Kentish Town, offering both long- and short-term counselling to people from a wide range of backgrounds. I have also worked in the NHS at a GP practice in Putney, providing short-term therapy as part of a primary care team supporting clients with complex needs.

I am a registered member of the BACP and work in accordance with their ethical framework. I believe counselling should be accessible and offer reduced fees for people on low incomes.

Alongside my counselling work, I have over 17 years’ experience working in the charity sector as a copywriter.
