A podiatrist is a medical professional who specialises in diagnosing, treating, and preventing foot and ankle disorders, including injuries, diseases, and deformities. They provide medical and surgical care for conditions such as bunions, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, and diabetic foot care.
You might see a podiatrist for a variety of reasons, including foot or ankle pain, injuries, deformities (like bunions or hammertoes), diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, skin conditions (such as athlete’s foot), or biomechanical issues affecting walking or running. They can also provide orthotic devices and footwear recommendations for foot problems.
I am delighted to be seeing Linda Hawkins’ patients from the 16th August 2024 when she is on extended leave.
